For the born-again believer, the Passover Feast represents a change in position with the living God. The perfect Passover Lamb, Jesus, justifies us before God by His shed blood. In so doing, God imputes the perfect righteousness of Jesus into the spiritual bank account of every believer.  During the Feast of Unleavened Bread, God uses that same sacrifice of Jesus to remind us of our deliverance from that old sin nature, and given opportunity to live a life pleasing to and full of promise in Him. This teaching represents the second of seven principles every born-again believer MUST practice in their walk with God.

The Passover season and its feasts were God’s “appointed times” (moeds) which He used to prepare His people for the coming Messiah. The season of Pesach (Passover) meant a special time of peace with God was manifested in the lives of His children. Today, the fulfillment of that peace (the manifestation of all God intended) is embodied in the life and resurrection of the Messiah Yeshua. This teaching represents the first of seven principles every born-again believer MUST practice in order to KNOW and WALK with God.

For centuries, there has been an unwillingness by the Church to teach and preach the whole counsel of God from the Word of God. This is particularly true when dealing with varying topics from the Old Testament. The Feasts of the Lord is one of those topics. Because many believe that those things were “under the law”, modern day Christians have “graced” themselves right out of one of the key elements in God’s plan of redemption for mankind. As we continue to walk-out the fullness of the lives we have been given, we must look to these elements first established (original intent) by God, our Creator, in the earth. One of these “first things” is an understanding of “God’s Appointed Times”.

Get wisdom and get understanding. The Word of God is clear on the subject. We pray for it; we hope earnestly for it; but at some point there has got to be evidence that we are walking in the wisdom of God for our lives.
